The light, the country location, and the baby chicken. There is just something about photos out in the country/around farm animals that just speaks to my soul. Love this session so much.

Senior sessions in Detroit… HECK YES! Amazing textures, buildings, history, love it all. This gorgeous girl completely rocked this session!
This couple just radiates love. Such two beautiful souls. It makes my heart so happy when I get to capture two amazing people committing themselves to each other for the rest of their lives. Congrats to this amazing couple.
When you see each other for the first time….
They are so much fun….
Oh what joy a newborn baby brings to a household. She has two beautiful, full of energy sisters who are so happy to be big sisters. Welcome little Rosalee, you are very blessed to have such an amazing family to love you. 🙂
I always want to be that photographer who walks around with her camera all the time to photograph her kids and her life, but if I am honest, life is so busy and I just don’t take the time to capture my kids as often as I would like. So the past few weeks I challenged myself to capture my kids daily lives. We live in the country and we are outside as much as we can be and I love it, so why do I not capture it? Well I am working on staying committed to picking up my camera everyday and photographing our lives exactly the way it is, which is outside, on the farm and being adventurous. I really am going to work at doing a personal blog post of how I see my life through my eyes/lens. I hope you enjoy my first blog post of my everyday life project.
This beautiful family is expecting very soon and I am so beyond happy for them. So much love and happiness, it is always so much fun to photograph their family. Can’t wait to meet the new addition.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Becca (momma) for a little bit after our photo session. What a beautiful, intelligent, down to earth woman. She was so gracious and open with sharing her story with me and it makes me adore her so much more. She is a fighter and a survivor and it was a honor to photograph her and her beautiful baby boy Eli.
I love doing newborn shoots, but what I love so much about them is I get to capture the whole family. This is truly a beautiful family inside and out and we had such a fun together. We have to start with big sister, she is super excited about this photo shoot and oh those curls she has, I LOVE THEM! 🙂
I feel like I have been in hibernation for the past 6 weeks. I have not been blogging or facebooking (if that is really a word) :). I am working on updating my website as I do every year about this time and I have been consumed with working behind the scenes. I am coming out of hibernation and will be sharing some newborn sessions/family sessions this month. To start it off is this beautiful little peanut. Welcome to the world beautiful little girl.
can’t forget adorable little sis…
Congrats to this beautiful family!
Such a special wedding to me, Aaron is my nephew and I was so honored to be able to photograph his wedding. What is crazy to me though, is he was in my wedding 17 years ago. My gosh time flies! It was seriously a gorgeous day and one of my all time favorite wedding locations ever, RaOna Acres! I am such a country girl and when they told me they were getting married in a barn, I was beyond ecstatic. Once again it is a little bit of a longer post, but hold out to the end, so many great moments from this day and the light…. OH SO AMAZING! 🙂
