I always want to be that photographer who walks around with her camera all the time to photograph her kids and her life, but if I am honest, life is so busy and I just don’t take the time to capture my kids as often as I would like.  So the past few weeks I challenged myself to capture my kids daily lives. We live in the country and we are outside as much as we can be and I love it, so why do I not capture it? Well I am working on staying committed to picking up my camera everyday and photographing our lives exactly the way it is, which is outside, on the farm and being adventurous. I really am going to work at doing a personal blog post of how I see my life through my eyes/lens. I hope you enjoy my first blog post of my everyday life project.

I normally do not write much on my blog before I post photos. Well to be honest,  I am always at a lose of words. I am not a writer and I have poor grammar. So I always think it is best to stick with what I know and that is photos. I wish sometimes I could be like other awesome bloggers who have great stories before their photo post. Well I have to accept that I am not the awesome story blogger and be satisfied that I tell the stories through my photos. 🙂   Well today, I have a story and I hope you look past any writing/grammar mistakes you may find. 🙂  This is a story of a beautiful family, a Godly family, struggles, and blessing!  My sister in law and brother in law are ministers at a church in Morrice Michigan. They did a missions trip last year to Africa and spent some time with Joram Kingori and his beautiful family. Well in September Joram, who is a minister in Kenya,  came to the United States to share his testimony in churches and to people. It was great hearing his testimonies and also learning about his culture. Well a tragic accident hit  two days before Joram was to return to Kenya. There was a motorboat accident and Joram lost his leg.  This is where the struggle began, this of course was so devastating.  Joram being a faithful man, kept his trust in the Lord. Jorams family got approved to come to the United States  for his healing as this would take a long time.  Over the past months, my family and others have watched Joram in his time of struggle keep the faith, grow as a Christian. What a testimony in itself to watch a person who lost their leg hold strong and keep the faith. So the blessing of course is Joram is alive, the medical treatment in the U.S. is outstanding. Joram is now walking again with a prosthetic leg. My family has watch his adorable little twin boys grow and we have spent alot of time with little Ray man who is 6.  I have come to know his wife Elinor better and she is just such a beautiful woman, inside and out.   Elinor wanted photographs taken this winter. As they have never experienced cold weather like this in Kenya. Ray may never see snow like this again when he returns home to Kenya. Well we attempted to get some photos outside but it was just to cold for my sweet Kenya friends. So we took some photos  inside.  I do hope they hold on to these photos forever to remind them of their time here in Michigan. I know the twin boys will not remember this, but we are going to miss them so much. I hope little Ray man remembers his two dear friends , my daughters, and how life in Michigan was. I hope these photos will bring back those memories for them for years to come.  I am posting a few of my favorites now, but in a few months I will have more to post as well.  I hope people find strength in this story and I pray that when you go through struggles and we all do, that you keep the faith. Many blessing to everyone!

I wanted to do a quick little post about my beautiful daughter. She has always wanted to show animals in 4-H. When the time came that she could do a program that teaches her about showing an animal of her choice she choose to show either a dairy cow or beef. I could not be more excited, her grandfather, her father, her mother, her aunts, great grandparents have all shown cows. I am so proud of her. She did a mentor program through 4-H. She meet with her mentor and he worked with her and she just loved it. We are so thankful for her mentor/friend Jacob and his knowledge, time and help. She had a great time at the fair and her family really enjoyed watching her take on the family tradition of showing.

Here is some history…. Her grandpa on the left (photo credit……. The Detroit News)

Her Dad on the right (photo credit…….Dick Green)

Her mom (me) on the bottom left (photo credit….Livingston County Free Press)

Then my daughter on bottom right (photo…me)
