After high school I took a job on Mackinaw Island. If you are not familiar with Mackinaw Island, it is one of the most amazing places in Michigan it takes you back in time where there are no cars, a slower pace of life and horse drawn carriages. My mom dropped me off and I was pretty nervous not knowing anyone. I am a nervous person as it is and not knowing anyone it really was a challenge for me. I was shown to my room where I would be living for the next 6 months or so and introduced to my roommate Veronica. Two girls coming from two different places in life. We hit it off right away and became great friends, many years have passed and I can say that we are not just friends, we consider each other family. We never lost touch and we have seen each other through so much and will continue to do so. You are probably wondering what in the world this story has to do with my photo session. Well enter Serene, Veronica’s beautiful amazing daughter! Serene came to visit me a few weeks back and we decided to do a photo shoot, well I did and she obliged. Serene lives up to her name and she is so dear and special to me and I LOVE how our session turned out. Hope you enjoy it!
